VBS!

Vacation Bible School was last week here at our church, DeSoto Hills Baptist Church.

I had mentioned how I was over the preschool...which meant all Kindergarten. We had a BLAST!! The theme was Rome with Paul and the underground church. This was a little difficult for preschoolers. We had to really dig deep for our stories and crafts. We just focused on stories of paul and church.Oh the stories I heard about jail and being thron into prison!! We made all kinds of cool Roman things...like an abacus, wooden top toys, money bag, bulla necklace,etc. My favorite was Wednesday...dress up day! Connor made his laurell wreath at home as my example and then wrapped up in a toga!! SUPER CUTE!! All the kids did this at church and made such great keepsake pictures in cool frames. (THANK YOU AMBER and RODNEY!!) Connor went to VBS Mon-Wed. Then Thursday Mrs. Elise (mother in law "MIL") came to visit and he stayed home with her the rest of the week. I survived and had a WONDERFUL week. We had lots of children, lots of fun and lots of good seeds were planted in the young hearts of about 43 kindergarteners!!THANKS to all my friends for helping teach this week. I will hopefully catch up on my energy level and sleep this week!I'm thinking that in heaven there are special rewards for all Vacation Bible School Workers!
